Green Jeans Farmery, 3600 Cutler Ave NE
RAD! A Nuclear POPoganda ART Show will be a space to learn and talk about the nuclear phenomenon outside of the usual parameters. The art on display will explore its history and culture ranging from the Cold War era to post apocalyptic worlds.
As an Art Studio and Sustainability Studies student, I translated my research of the nuclear industry into a body of artwork for my UNM Sustainability Studies Capstone Exhibition. Part of the proceeds of the art for sale will go to the organizations, Sunflowers For Change and Dine No Nukes (http://www.dinenonukes.org/), who are doing field work in the community related to contamination.
The reception will be held on the top floor inside of Green Jeans Farmery's new lounge. Come hang out and enjoy refreshments from the local establishments! There will be music by Eileen & the In-Betweens at 7 PM. Hope to see you there! It's going to be rad!
